When our beloved 1st Gens were new, the factory used a rubber backed molded carpet with insulation matting to help keep the sound and heat under control in the cab.

Most companies offering carpet for our trucks, offer carpet that is much like household carpet – there is no insulation or rubber backing. It is just the carpet fibers but due to this, the carpet is very cheap to make. While it works, it doesn’t help keep the sound of our Cummins engines outside, nor does it help block the heat. This is why so many owners with fully restored trucks complain about needing more sound deadener. It isn’t correct carpet.

As the factory offered, our carpet is true to factory. It is fully molded and insulation backed.
